Day 27

Today was saddest yet best day of my life.

We had Festa Fine Mese on the roof terrace of the PGC. The view from there was incredible! Peggy was a very lucky lady!

After much posing for photographs, eating and drinking the Festa began with us standing up one at a time for everyone to say goodbye to.

I was up first and one at a time the Guggies came up and gave me hand made presents. They were all so sweet and they made me cry!

I received a mirror with my face on like a Pisteletto mirror, a portrait, a candle, a mini Peggy sculpture, biscuits, some stamps (for us to send post to Justin!), a song dedication, a keyring with the group photo on, a medal which said 'Least likely to suffer from Stendhal Syndrome' (because of my seminar) and a Bavarian Order of Merit for 'Best British Humour'.

The Capi gave us all some things from the PGC shop including a picture of our favourite work and postcards. They also gave us the card signed by everyone with a photo montage on the back.

We also all received a puzzle piece from Nicolò which we have to put together when we all meet up again in the future.

So with presents like that you can see why we were all so emotional!

We then had to give a goodbye speech which was rather hard to do and then we had to down a drink that the Capi's made for us whilst everyone chanted! (I will try and get the lyrics off someone because it was so funny!)

After all of that we all sat around singing to George's ukele then did some mad dancing!

We then carried on the dancing late into the night at Piccolo Mondo which is Venice's only nightclub!

It was such an amazing night and only the beginning of the goodbye festivities!
